Celiac disease or gluten-sensitive enteropathy is an autoimmune disorder, which is frequently associated with the follow autoimmune conditions:
- Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus
- Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
- Hashimoto’s thyroiditis
- Autoimmune hepatitis
- Addison disease
- Arthritis
- Sjögren’s syndrome
- Idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy
- IgA nephropathy
Thyroid disease (Hashimoto’s thyroiditis) and Type 1 Diabetes are the most common disorders associated with celiac disease.
